I agree... sunflowers are such happy flowers :-) I'm sure your neighbor is very pleased with your photo, I am! You captured it so perfectly! Love how some of the petals kinda do their own thing! Black background really makes the flower pop! Great job! Good luck :-)

You did a great portrait of the sunflower. They remind me of Sunny, happy faces too. I like the angle you photograph this one and the darkness in the background. I like the leaf that is reflecting the light and I'm very curious why it looks green in the center. I've never seen it like that.

I think the sunshine yellow coloring of their petals has a lot to do with the happy impression - along with the cool Fibonacci sequence pattern of the seeds in the center of the flower. I like the angle and how it shows the fullness of the petals. The colors look very nice too.
