Very nice image here Barbara. I really like the details in the center of the flower. The colors accent the yellow petals. The petals have a wonderful sunshine color.
The flower is located well in the frame. The dark leaves in the background are perfect for placing emphasis on the main subject.

Hi Barbara! This is a beautiful yellow Dahlia and you have photographed it so very well . I see good detail on each of its eight petals and in the dark center with the deep gold , this is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is managed perfectly , the color and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!

Beautiful sunny yellow color indeed, Barbara. My guess is you made the leaves black? If not I am guessing there is a fungus or something wrong turning them black.
You have sharp focus, Gorgeous colors, crisp details and fine white balance control.

Thank you so much for the great review Sange! This is a Dahlia called Mystic Illusion. The leaves are actually such a dark purple that they look almost black. I didn't darken them in the photo.
