it looks like a male black tailed skimmer (a kind of dragonfly) but the dark wings don't fit; outstanding sharp focus and details;

This is a dragonfly for sure,,Its called a Widow Skimmer,,this one looks like a male,, I almost put one of these as my entry. Great shot,,they are so pretty with there blue spots and body. Nice shot

Yes,it certainly looks like a dragonfly to me! Nice capture allowing a good view from the side at a nice angle, I see nice detail in the body and the near wings, pretty color pattern. Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!
