Absolutely beautiful and amazing piece Suzanne, imaginary yes but it looks so real!
Love the idea and how you have painted it, abstract yes but you instantly know its a flower and that green stem and base gives the image that sense of reality, the black surrounds is again the perfect way to present this!

WOW this composition is quiet more then just a flower - this Flower holds an entire world inside, is alive through excellent color application
the greens look like the fields, the white like water splashes and the purple sky - the black Background lets it stand out very well - fantastic contrast and lighting on the photograph - this flower shines - great job

Wow Suzanne this is truly an incredible abstract art piece! The use of color is inspiring and provides a stunning initial impact. The dark backdrop helps the work stand out so well, really a great work!

'Oh My Goddess!'
How did I miss seeing this beautiful creation earlier,Suzanne?
( I was probably too busy babbling away about some arcane nonsense to my niece, who, thankfully, is fascinated with such stuff! : D )
Anyways-your imaginary flower looks Great,my friend, and it has the sort of semi-extra natural and enticingly mysterious kind of tone to it that I really Admire!

Wow. Now this one is different Suzanne. I have not seen a flower pattern from this technique before.

I really like the colors that you used in this one. The whites, purples and blues go so well together. The added green is very eye catching.

I should think that if you can create a flower pattern you can create almost anything.

Wouldn't it be a wonderful challenge to create a Large image (10 x 10 or even 12 x 12) with multiple shapes and forms in it. Kind of like a painting. Any object would take on a somewhat abstract look. Just a wild thought.

Great work here Suzanne ~ Steve

Many thanks, Steve, for your great review and ideas. As I live in a small bungalow I'm limited for space for keeping paintings so that's why I usually stick to the 8" x 8" canvas blocks or smaller ones! Suzanne

Very artistic Suzanne, I like
The graduation of colour and the texture really comes through and gives a great effect. The colours really stand out well against the black background.
Lovely.

That is really cool! If you did not say so, I would not have known that you did that with a straw and a cocktail stick. That is a really great affect and appears to be very easy to do.

An out of the box creation!
Creative concept. Innovative approach. Imaginative presentation.

Compact framing.
Dynamic bursting strokes as if it erupts from that cute verdant corner!

Thanks for sharing...
