A very nice shot in some tricky lighting. I like the over the shoulder look but think I would make this one considerably darker and include the tip of the tail if possible. Best of luck in the contest.

Very nicely composed and framed portrait of the Blue Jay. Lighting works well to display the details of the feathers and the eye. Focus is sharp. Good luck in the contest. Probably can't be done, but including the full tail feathers would have been better.
