and a long way in the future, all our beautiful blue earth will be like that. I saw something similar in Rotorua when we lived in New Zealand, only there the water is yellow and stinks of sulphur /bad eggs/

Thank you so much Renate. These places smell of Sulphur also. It is the volcanic activity below that causes these unique places to exist. I appreciate your review and comments ~ Steve

The colors are wonderful. I like how well the rising steam stands out in the background too. There is a palpable sense of heat and energy in this image. Very nice!

A gorgeous landscape scene taken in Yellowstone Park. A wonderful scene and phenomenon. Good differentiation and contrast mixed with the hazy atmosphere. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and outstanding details and clarity in your image. Indeed a well taken photo with a good depth of field. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

What a tremendous initial impact your photograph makes. It is so surreal and does not look as if it is from this earth. I like how you have captured the colors and the 'heat' by contrasting the red against the white steam and black trees. Great photograph!

Wow! Thank you very much for your wonderful review and comments. I love Yellowstone. In fact I am in Idaho right now with friends and 90 miles from the park. Will be going up there in a few days. Will spend 4 days there taking pictures. Hope to get some worthy of posting here. Thank you so much for your wonderful review and Grand rating ~ Steve

I like the change in the landscape from reds and oranges to blues and grays and how the trees blues blend into the gray smoke. ITS A VERY LOVELY PHOTOGRAPH. THANKS

Wow, what a site to behold. I like the way you shot this, with the focal point in the back to give exceptional depth of field. I also appreciate the patience this shot took to get the trees not completely covered by the smoke. It evokes pathos, those little survivors emerging from the ruins.

Thank you so very much Aimee for your artistic review and commentary. I appreciate your notice of the cleared off steam. It was cold, as the patch of snow on the left shows, and I did have to wait until the breeze blew enough steam away to get a good shot. Thank you again for your review Aimee ~ Steve

Love the colours you captured in this lovely landscape, Steve. It reminds me of when I visited Rotorua in New Zealand where all the hot springs are - amazing sight. I like what you've done here with your filters. Great lighting and focus. Excellent composition. Suzanne

Wow. Thank you So much Audrey for your wonderful review and comments. Actually I was standing on a board walk. To actually walk out there is a good way to fall through and get cooked. Thank you for your Grand rating. I am honored ~ Steve

This is a great look at this amazing place! This shows the color of the thermophiles very well and I like how you captured the stream rising from the hot pools.
