A stunning capture and composition of colours, mist and trees and faded background. Love the vibrant orange foreground thermophile (as you have described so well in your description). Great lighting and clarity. Well captured!

Love this picture. The picture is clear and the focus is good as well. Nicely done . It does a good job of telling the story described. Good luck to you.

Beautiful capture of the rough world of Yellowstone. You have captured the mysterious steam/fog rising in the back hiding the scenery from our view, while the bright reds and yellow bubble up creating an alien environment in the foreground. Good sharp focus with plenty of detail. Well seen.

Actually I am going there next week in combination with a high school reunion. I am going to burn my poor little iPhone7 up for four days. Hope to get some good scenes.

Oh my goodness! This is an incredible scene! My mind sees that silvery blue fog and the rust and orange tones and tells me that's such a winning combination of colors! I love the trees and their places in this scene, they bring texture and the forest green color. Your artists notes are very interesting and appreciated, the Thermophiles are beautiful in color and are creating such a pretty pattern on the ground. This is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is managed well, the colors and tones are beautiful and appear natural. Well composed and presented! This is a pleasure to view!

This is a beautiful shot Steve! I love Yellowstone, there are so many different things to see. The geyser basin is probably my favorite area. The first time I was there in 1973 I was most impressed by the Mammoth Hot Springs, it was all wet and full of color. But when I saw it again in 2002 it was mostly just white limestone with only a fraction of the water and colorful algae it had before. Awesome place, and you got an awesome photo!

Thank you so much David. I love Yellowstone. I grew up 90 miles from the park and we used to camp there all the time. I am going to go there next week and combine it with my high school reunion. I'll be spending four days in the park so I plan to give my poor iPhone one heck of a work out. Thank you for your review and Grand rating. Hope to get some really good thots next week ~ Steve

Ahh, I envy you. It's doubtful I will ever make it there again. So take some good photos so I can experience it through you!

A beautiful scene that is very well composed. The mists around the trees are very well shown and the colors are fantastic. It does indeed look like an alien world.
