Could be one muddy dog when he is done. Good color against the black background. One happy and tired dog for sure. Nice focus, fun to view. Well done.

Oh such a cutie, he looks so happy after running after his ball
He does look funny with his seal
Pose, a heart lifting capture,
Makes me smile, love the deep
Colour captured on fishers coat,
And the way his tongue hangs
Out after all the play.
Lovely.

Any capture of a pet, especially a dog, is going to get my attention. Our Westie, Mannie used to assume the same position. After a brief time, he would then go into reverse. Love the look of contentment and happiness in the relaxed pose and facial expression. Thanks for sharing Fisher with us.

Thank you so much Charlie ! This position of the back legs tells me that Fisher has good sturdy hips! So no dysplasia, like so many of the larger breeds get!

Ya it's pretty cute the way he puts his legs. Fisher, what a cool name. He looks pooped, running in that sand isn't easy. I bet he is in great shape. Thank you for sharing it. John

A very nice animal shot posted here! He does look like he has had a good lot of running during your fetch game. Many years ago I had a dog that loved doing the same. Like that panting tongue and the fur detail. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well taken!

This is fine looking pet photography. You have timed it well. The light, and the composition have worked well and you have caught the mischievous look on Fisher's's face very well. Good effort!.

What a wonderful portrait Pat. You couldn't ask for it to be any better. He looks tuckered out from having fun, but gave you an adorable portrait that is very engaging for the viewer. The contrast in color between the dog, ball and black sand is awesome. I like the way you shot him from the front and on the angle to give it depth and interest for the viewer. Excellent composition. I have only ever seen black sand on the beaches in Costa Rica. Where was this taken?

Thanks so much Sandra! This pose tells me that Fisher has great hips, so many of the larger breeds suffer from Hip Displasia.

Yes... My boss has to put his dog down in June at 12 yrs old because of that. He could not get up anymore.
I rub pure magnesium mixed with coconut oil on Jasper's hips and back legs once a week. He climbs stairs to get on the couch and my bed.
So at 10 he is still doing ok.
Thankfully. And he often sleeps that way with legs straight out.
    ;)
