well Kevin thats the 1st mistake most artist make is the paper. see its an office medium not art. the only paper that can handle the paper that wont bleed at all is posterboard or computer cardstock. they can absorb the ink without that bleed effect. thats why i smile when folks ask me how do i handle no bleed on the work. another issue that im asked is how do i blend out the lines? no i dont buy that overpriced blender from copic.. i taught myself some technics over the years to blend with layers of ink with my sharpies and bics. i do like your bear. i do recognize that you are still trying to be detail without the bleed. i like colors still. the bears form and body language is great. the depth is great. i really didnt want to enter my own contest because i wanted to expose yall of a medium that i have fought so hard for decades to be recognized in the art world. even sanford corp(sharpie) and Bic corp dont seem to concern other than selling pens. they now use the pitch " a tool for the beginner artist'. yet the majority folks go by what they are taught which is pointillism. i never had the privilege of having art classes in my life. everything i learned was thru marvel, DC, Warren publishing and Heavy Metal magazines. thousands of drawings over the years learning from my mistakes of what works and what don't. hell i didnt know my dotting that i learn from the comics was called pointillism till i joined FAR in 2011. i always try to push these pens as far as i can take it. with this lil info i give you about the paper does it make you curious to see how they handle the markers on maybe just another drawing? no contest just exposure to see what im saying is true. its the only reason i did this contest. heck it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if no votes for it. i did this really to show folks what i go thru when i create. i truly want to thank you for participating in this contest. i do think that you are an awesome artist in work and feel privileged that you joined us with your talent and thank you for it. I'll have to try the poster board. I've worked on poster boards before but not with colored markers. They are good to work on. For the blending, I've found that adding and building up multiple layers on top of each other really works. However, I didn't find as much success with the markers as I do with the colored pencils using this technique. However, I know that comes with steady practice and time. You do a great job with the markers. You achieve great results with your work. Your fine lines, accuracy and coloring are always on point. I'm glad you did create this contest. Thanks.

I think you did a great job with the highlighting and shading. I imagine that it is difficult to do with markers, so I think it's pretty impressive work. The shape of the bear is spot on.

Hey your bear is very attractive I think you did the shading very well considering it is very very hard to use magic markers I am absolutely amazed at how well you did the colors are great

I think you did a great job. I myself can not draw for anything. I think that for traditional you stayed true to what that really means. Nicely done.
