A worthy contest entry. The symmetry of the two bookend cranes is relieved by the different middle one. The soft clouds provide an excellent background and the photo is well cropped.

Great contest entry!! Those cranes really add a pop of color to this monochromatic photo;this would have been a great entry for the tall photo contest, too. Great focus and dof, this is very well composed and presented, best wishes to you in the contest!

Yep they are red. Very dramatic as they wait to work. Well photographed here. The background just a tad soft to really make them stand out. Well done

Well I have to admit that I am not a fan of architectural construction pictures. That said I also want to say that this photograph is rather nice. Good perspective and balance between the two larger cranes on the left and the three on the right. Pleasant contrast of color against the mostly light grey of the sky. The angle of the shot makes the cranes somewhat look like dinosaurs to me. Reasons for my five star vote.

This is red for sure and in addition unusual and outstanding.
You found the perfect angle and view point to show the nature place wit its working destination - excellent frame choice - love the grey cloudy sky as it helps you perfectly to let the red standing out well against the background and the same colored water
your picture is clear and sharp and has perfect exposure , contrast and lighting
a good composition and interesting contest entry - well done

This is a great country for the color red, which is a little bit hard to find outside other than in flowers. Yes these cranes are definitely standing at attention. They look great against the cloudy basically white and gray sky behind them. It is well trained and you made an object that wouldn't normally be seen as art oh, turn into art!

A beautiful & interesting picture of these red cranes lined along the quay in Seaforth docks, Liverpool ready to load & unload cargo Containers on & off Container Sea going vessels. Beautiful & dramatic composition. Soft natural lighting with the cloudy overcast sky creating the perfect backdrop.Taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
