Another serene scene at the early stages of fall. Great placement of the river in the frame as it leads the viewer in towards the mountains where other splashes of color already are showing. Great eye and great camera techniques.

Hi Pat!
That's totally OUTSTANDING,my friend!
Both the location and your photograph of it!
The genuinely impressive and 'Almost Dangerous' tone that the picture gives off makes this one a really 'Good Show' of a scene that's incredibly enjoyable to see!
Awesome,my friend!

I think you certainly have enough wonderful unique landscape shots form Alaska to create a picture book with a description, and history - that would be a handsome idea - excellent view point again, I love the curves as the water runs like a snake through the land - and your position shows very well the river moving through the mountains - again dramatic clouds creating a well balance in your picture -excellent framing , perfect contrast and lighting
I think this is an autumn beauty and think about the book- xoxo

It looks as if the water stands low. The water looks muddy and sandy islands are at the background. The photo is well focused and has good exposure. The cloudy sky seems to filter the light which dulls the warm colors of late autumn and adds a moody appearance. The photo is well composed. I like how the river bends through the valley and leads the eyes to the foggy mountains in the background.

Thank you so much! Yes, a lot of the rivers and lakes were low, we had a very dry summer here.

You're most welcome. :o)
