What an interesting shot for the contest. I like the way you framed this so that the focal point is the water not the animals. I think I would have increased exposure just a tad to brighten up the scene a bit. So wonderful that you were able to see this incredible site.

Now I see - Helicopter is the key, loll - awesome perspective and interesting fact that the river has growing greens inside - your shots mostly have a lesson within and I appreciate that
clear and sharp, excellent contrast and lighting , a good distant composition, showing wild life in its most purest form , thanks for sharing

The angle from above is interesting. Apparently an dry river bed got flooded and the animals are drawn to the water. The contradiction of the dry grass and the blue water is interesting. The reflection in the water is intriguing. The photo is focused, showing refined detail through. The composition is balanced and adequately framed.

Fred,
A beautiful aerial photo looking down upon the nine Elephant matriarchs & three small calves on the river bank . Their reflections on the river are an added bonus along with the blue sky above. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A beautiful scene from a great elevated perspective. I think the colors are fantastic and the river is beautiful. Of course the elephants are a real treat and are well placed at the top of the frame.

Until I read your description, I thought you may have climbed a tree to capture this shot. Then I realized you were too smart to try that.
What a wonderful perspective for this photo. The elephants and their reflections are well placed and help put the shot into perspective. Good luck in the contest.

Great nature capture from a helicopter. That must have been a wonderful trip and scene from the air.
So good seeing elephants and their young from that vantage point. Great composition and focus. Thanks for sharing.

I have the feeling that the water was very low in the river and they are searching for a good place to drink. The distance from them actually helps to make a story. Focus is very good. Color is strong. Nice details. Well seen.

A pretty good entry into the competition posted here! Your rather extreme, yet appropriate composition allows us an enjoyable view of the scene below you. Wonder if the elephants are trudging along to find grass free water? Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Wow! A fine aerial shot of the wild life. The clarity of the image is good. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!
