What a great composition for the contest! Such a compelling image. He is so adorable but the structures built by man really affect the mood. Great shot which clearly emphasizes the contest subject matter.

You are the one reminding the world that there is a wild life with a right to exist, keep going

This is a nice image. It must be wild to see an elephant approach so closely to the camp. I would be thrilled, but then you have seen these guys so often now it probably isn't as thrilling. I would imagine the danger of a lion approaching at night is still scary though :)

Sorry Fred, I meant lions! :)

This is an unusual photo, I think. I always thought that wild animals rather avoid human habitations except they are starving. This elephant does not look starved, but in good health. The photo is focused and has good depth. It is composed, framed and balanced well. The exposure is fine. The colors are realistic.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this Elephant walking up the river bank as if wanting to pay you a visit in your Lodge built in the Tree. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Is he coming there to dislodge the lodge? Interesting capture of a lone elephant. Good framing! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Intriguing photo of this young (?) elephant. I'm glad you included the water--perhaps he was bathing. Good photo composition overall. Is the housing for short-term visitors only?

It looks like the "touch of man" is very gentle in this part of the world. A fine shot that shows that the wildlife still has the upper hand. The elephant is fantastic and the rustic building offers a nice contrast. Good luck in the contest.

Judging from this photo along with several of your recent posts, you had an amazing photo safari. It is a dream of mine to do so someday, but for now, I live through your photos so I really appreciate your posts. This capture once again shows great camera techniques all around. Good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing.

Looks like and sounds like a dangerous place to wander around in! Your fine entry into the competition is well composed, with good exposure and sharpness. Well done and good luck!
