Too bad the contest was just people, since this is an awesome image with a great hidden view. You framing draws the eyes beyond the branches nicely. Nice depth and colors.

Unlucky! You came up with a good idea! I like they way the roots frame the skull in your nice composition. It also demonstrates how nature can be both kind and harsh. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

Oooohhh.... I like this, I like this a lot! The composition is fabulous and the placement of the skull in the roots is perfect. I like how just one eye socket is peaking out. The addition of the brown leaves adds that touch of color and gives it depth. Bravo!

It is almost shocking in the first moment, but than the sad beauty of the photo reveals and I understand the message. It is a metaphor of nature. Death has occurred, bud the death animal and leaves feed many creatures and create life again. The framing wood is seems a symbol of life. The photo is well focused and exposed. The textures are extraordinary refined. The colors are realistic. The photo is well composed and framed.
