Perfect timing!
I was about to ask if you put a glass under its body....!
I had a similar shot of a horned beetle but there was a see thru glass underneath...
Nice into notes.
Good dynamic diagonal subject placement in the frame...
Gorgeous one-sided illumination casting soft highlights & faint shadows...
Two-toned backdrop is impressive.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

This little fellow looks like he's been eating a lot. I like the close up shot with the fine details of his legs and belly. Blurred background allows for the sharp focus to be directed on the bug. Lighting is perfect and composition is on point. Thanks for sharing

Wish I had a 6 left as you are right this view so close up is a teaching shot as we are able to study this guy - great reaction, super sharp, perfect contrast and lighting- I love the view point loll really unusual and outstanding capture - well framed , well composed - hope he did not release his nice odour for clicking him into your picture box
