A fantastic scene that is artfully composed. I like the detail in the wrought iron and the great depth of field that keeps the full length of the wall in such sharp focus. A great sky and beautiful colors.

This photo is outstanding. It seems to include the whole history of the ancient walls. The oldest stones we see might even originate from the first settlements. The arc looks as if old stones were used for recent restoration. The iron work above looks Victorian. The colors of your photo are exquisite and look Mediterranean. The photo is exquisitely focused, exposed and framed. I also appreciate the detailed and very interesting informations in your comments.

What a fascinating commentary you offer with this scene Annie. My but it changed hands so many times that I got dizzy attempting to keep up. Such a colorful past.
I like the angle and point of view of this one. The iron fencing over the archway adds such a nice balancing touch as we look through to the sea and the wall as it turns out of sight.
The colors and details are well rendered. The vertical format works well here.

Your point of view and your perspective add a lot of depth and interest to this composition. Placement in the frame leads the viewer right into the walkway. Your focus is sharp showing clear and well defined details. White balance is well managed.
