Congratulations on your win,
I really like this low key Moody photograph of the old pathway,
Nice depth of field, the pathway really draws the eye into the scene, I like the light as it comes through the tree tops and highlights the path. Very atmospheric.

Just lovely. The perspective of the path that leads the eye in. The dark tones with enough illumination to sculpt the trees and the wonderful greens of the foliage. A well deserved win.

How did I miss this one? I totally agree with the first place award. Great cropping. Love the path leading to the tall tree trunks. Beautiful balance between the greys and the greens. This photograph stirred a memory of the time we visited the redwoods in northern California. Thanks. Reasons for my five star vote.

Love this Sean the lighting and depth to the photo is great. Like the dark colors. A good composition it is difficult to photograph tall trees and maintain perspective but you nailed it with this one

This is a truly remarkable photo which deserves to be the Photograph of the Month. Those woods are mystical but not threatening. Light filters through the thick foliage. When this road were still in use, the farmers might have enjoyed the coolness beneath the trees and perhaps kids of all ages still enjoying the mystery.

Beautifully captured in your tall vertical framing. I love your dark and moody editing on this stunning scene. Good differentiation and contrast in your scene. Your play with light and shadows adds depth and interest. It's one of those landscapes where you can hear and feel the landscape as well as see it. Good luck in the contest....a winner! Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

Those trees are really interesting. I like how tall they are and how bare the bark is so far up the trunk before the thickness of branches and leaves begin. The path way off in the distance is lit up nicely. It looks like the light at the end of the tunnel :)
