I love the effect the flowers have on both of the background and the butterfly. The flowers although not the main point of the picture just make a great contrast that shows off the butterfly in all of its grander. Nice job love it all

Hi Brenda, I can see that this is a beautiful work of art, the cabbage butterfly is placed perfectly onto the pink hydrangeas, you have applied so much detail and the colors are perfect, I also really appreciate your story. I like the blue sky on the top , it's perfect to show the butterfly and hydrangeas. It must be frustrating for you to photograph, this is blurry , I know it's not your work that is blurry it's the photograph. Perhaps you could re photograph it , be sure to hold the camera very still . It's a beautiful piece that should do well in this contest!

Hi Pat, thanks for that review. Unfortunately at the moment I can't retake as the original is in Portugal and I have just returned to Germany. The image is on my phone so I will see if I can improve it. Your comments really appreciated.

Thanks so much for reviewing. It's not on purpose that I made it blurry and i am going to try and sharpen it. I cant retake as the original is in Portugal and I am in Germany. It on my smartphone. But you are not the only one that says it is blurred. Your comments appreciated.

The image looks good on a small size. But totally out of focus as it opens up. I think you need to sharpen the image and repost it as otherwise such a fine effort will not be enjoyed by many viewers! Sorry for the comment. Good luck!

Always I seem to be in the wrong place. This paint ing is in Portugal and I am in Germany. I really appreciate your advice to sharpen. I will see what I can do. The image is only on my smartphone. But I will try. Thanks for reviewing and comments.

A good job drawing the butterfly. You did a good job handling the watercolors on the way there colors flow. Working with watercolors is a difficult job so you're doing a good job keep it up.
