Piece of work here Linda, the face is beautiful and I am no artist but looks to be well proportioned and portrays character. I like the light captured in the lovely red/auburn hair. The face is almost ethereal and enchanting.

I particularly like your palette , the colours blend beautifully through the subjects hair and it is this that draws the viewers attention. The background I feel is a little plain. Good luck in the contest

Something caught my eye in this one and I don't normally review art.
I like the fluid lines and I think it was the triangular composition that caught my eye here. A simple yet extremely effective work. Definately a worthy entry for the contest and I wish you luck in it.

I like how she holds her brush between her teeth. Many painters do that, including myself, but I always get paint in my face. Her soft pale skin goes beautiful with her light brown hair with the light-red highlights. The touch of rouge on her cheek shows her excitement about her paint. The unruly waves of her hair are intriguing. The gallery-framed painting shows that her work is finished, but I think that the gallery-frame reaches too high into your composition. About half of the frame would be enough to show her work, because the big frame distracts from the artist. Your attention to detail was good. Perspective and proportions are exact.

Such a sweet expression with a rainbow brush rather than a rose - the rainbow colors give the painting an optimistic feeling - there is a kind of seductive boldness in the expression of her eye - a very appealing painting.

I like the idea of the piece, but the background is too bland. There is no detail on the canvas or the paintbrush she is holding so it looks unfinished. We don't see the woman's body so she looks like she is a floating head. Don't be so afraid to add shadows because by not adding them, you lack contrast that could really make it a better painting.

I think the perspective is very nice. I much prefer profiles when photographing birds but don't really have any such preference when it comes to people. Wonder why that might be. Anyway it is an appealing image with good facial features.

Never quite feel qualified to comment on art as I struggle to draw a cube but I do like this profile with the brush in mouth thinking of the next stroke or color to use on the work being created. The proportions of nose - mouth etc look good to my eye and I like the shading of the hair.
