Fred,
A beautiful picture of this Hippo wallowing in the water in the Rice Field with a benign look in it's eyes the sunlight lighting up it's back & head. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Your artist notes are spot on as these are incredibly dangerous creatures. In contrast, they look so peaceful and gentle lazing in the water feeding on marsh plants. I like the silvery color the reflecting sunlight creates on its gray leathery hide.

A very nice shot. I've heard that hippos are the most dangerous animal in Africa and 30mph is just damned scary. Fortunately all I have to do is run faster than the slowest person and in theory I'll be find. Great shot.

You are right. Also I knew that the hippo is much more Dangerous than lions. When People see this animal they probably think they are not able to move fast at all. You have anyway pictured this one really well, and I like the way the vegetation is framing the animal.

The photo is very Sharp With Clear and well defined details, and the exposure is spot on.

The format you have cropped the photo into Works well and the animal has got a fine placement within the frame. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo, and With a very good DOF.

This hippo looks pretty relaxed , your notes are very informative and appreciated! He is shown in his natural environment surrounded by the grasses. Well focused, clear image with good light management , shows the texture of his skin and I appreciate the clear eye! I had no idea that hippos could move that fast! Well composed and presented!

Nice photograph of a Hippo that can be very dangerous animal in the water. Your description explains that in detail. I think the crop you did into a panorama works well. Great lighting, sharp focus and well balanced photo. Nicely composed in the frame. Overall, well done.

A very nice shot of this seemingly peaceful beast in its natural surroundings. The cropping is excellent and the detail in the hippo is very nice. A great shot with excellent colors.
