You have brilliantly produced a grand photograph of the historical Lincoln Memorial. I highly admire the pristine looking blue sky, the detailed views of the Roman-like architecture, and the lush greenery.

This is pretty architecture that is very Greek and Romanesque with the columns and ornate designs along the top. This is a unique angle that shows off the columns nicely.

did you see all the trash flying around the building? i was there 10 years ago and couldnt believe seeing all this trash that should have been policed by the city's maintenance. still the monument is cool. the clarity is good. the angle of the shot of this building is good. the capture of the light is good. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and good job overall.

Glad you enjoyed my photo! No I do do not remember lots of litter being around there. Perhaps the city authorities got there act together just before I arrived! Thanks for your kind review!!

A nice perspective of this most impressive structure. I was there a month or so ago and it is really something to see indeed.

A different point of view that is refreshingly different. The trees make for a nice framing element and add a pleasant contrasting element to the scene.

Well scene and captured. Best of the best to you in the contest ~ Steve

I have not been to this area of the USA before but can clearly see the majesty of such a building and undoubtedly plays a significant part in the history of your country.Your viewpoint of the building has benefited your structure and your final presentation

Aptly captured for the contest theme...
Lots of Greek inspired posts taken at the perfect angle to present a maximum capture!

Dramatic interplay between lights and shades.

Sharply focused. Fine architectural structure, stable features & varied textures.

Vanishing viewpoint lends a greater depth...

Best of luck in the contest!
Thanks for sharing...

It's a nice angle and sharp photo of this historical monument.
You have nice details and great leading lines showing the fine architecture design. Exposure is okay, but feel it's a tad bright and would have corrected white balance more.
Nice work ;)

I have visited this memorial and those tall vertical columns take your breath away as you climb the steps to view the statue of Lincoln. You have captured their beauty in this image as well as the immense height. We can see that they tower above the tree canopies.

A good shot which fits it well with the competition's title. I like the shot but I think it's just a bit overexposed (the horizontal part of the building looks burnt out to me). A half a stop under would have prevented that and darkened the sky a little as well. Nice shot though and good luck in the competition.
