I would have liked to have seen the full moon but you managed to get in really close - even the craters are in perfect focus - I would love to know how you photographed this.

    Thank you very much! I used a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 on a tripod, f/8, 1/250, 320 ISO, -1EV, with a Kelvin of 5200 because I didn't want the moon to look too white. Focus infinity.

a very good "close up" of about 2/3rd ofthe moon; very sharp details of the craters, especially at the bottom; I hope you have also a pic of the other side;

A different view of the moon most photographers wait until it is full but I like the shadow across the section. Detail and color are great with good exposure and focus.

Very impressive capture of the moon. You must have a good zoom lens for this shot.
Great clarity and focus to get such a good look at the surface of the moon.
The lighted moon stands out beautifully against the dark sky of the night.
Nice off centre composition. Well done!

A very nice astronomical shot posted here! Your fine and almost central composition grants us a good look at that celestial wonder up there. We had a similar sighting last night in our part of the UK. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

A very nice looking moon. Fine detail on the surface and beautiful colors that look great against that intensely black sky. A nicely composed presentation; I'm sure Alice is up there somewhere.

This is a lovely moonscape. I like the dark craters that are clearly captured upon the golden dusty looking surface of the moon. I like the way the dark side of the moon melds with the background.

This is an excellent shot of the night sky. The close up is intriguing. The photo is well focused and exposed. The mares and craters of the moon are impressively sharp. The colors are realistic. The composition is balanced.
