Such a great entry for this contest, I was hoping this will be at the TOP. Lighting, composition, and substance are really nice. This is likewise, technically strong.

It happens all the time, supergold. You need to maintain your confidence that your image is great. Maybe, your entry was not shown to the voters, kidding ! That's just my theory.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of the young Impala head turned ears pricked & eyes fixed on you as it watches your every move the rising sun's rays adding a golden glow to it's buff coloured coat. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Your lighting and colors on this Male Impala at sunrise are so beautiful. Perfectly cropped and I like your off center placement. You have a talent for capturing the rare emotions of these gorgeous creatures. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and outstanding details and clarity in your image. Your diffused background compliments your work. Beautiful work and thanks for sharing.

Great capture of the moment! Rule of thirds works very well here! I like background's depth of field and how the Impala is isolated from it.

A great presentation of this animal and the sun has been captured on the coat of this Gazelle beautifully and it is this which draws the viewers attention to what is a stunning shot with great structure and detail of focusing

A very nice shot in fabulous light. I like the way he seems caught in a beam of light that lights up the sand around him.
The shot is sharp and nicely composed and he seems to be studying you.

It is nothing like photos taken at the golden hour, and it is the warm golden light I like the best about this photo, and also the way it is falling on the impala. I also think the colors of the background look great.

The photo is Nice and Sharp showing Clear and well defined details in the lovely animal, and the exposure is just spot on.

The photo is nicely cropped and the impala has got a Perfect placement off to the left. A truly lovely and well taken photo With a very good DOF, and I wish you Luck With the contest.

I like how the soft morning light gives a gold glow to his smooth hide. His juvenile antlers are cute and his big eyes are just beautiful. I like the weathered and bleached look of the driftwood looking branch in the foreground.
