I think this is awesome. You captured such exquisitely sharp detail of the katydid, and I like how the sparkling texture of that petal stands out. The colors are well exposed and the insect is interesting. The background colors compliment the image nicely.

What a fine entry into this contest Aimee. I have always liked the combination of light green and pink, so this is right up my street. I even think the Katydid is rather Sweet. LOL The background is nicely softened for the bug to stand out in an excellent way.
Your Focus on the bug is spot on and Sharp and it is Clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of it. The exposure is Perfect.
The way you have cropped the photo Works well and both the flower and the bug have got a fine placement within the frame. A lovely and well taken photo With an excellent DOF, and I wish you Luck With the contest.

Cute little insects which apparently all insects are in decline so nice to see one surviving. Love the contrast against the pink flower and the bokeh background.

I have never seen a katydid , we don't have them here in Ak. It's actually pretty cute and I like the way it is peeking out from over the top of the pink petal. Well focused, the image is clear, exposure is managed well, the colors and tones appear natural. I see good detail on the katydid and love the eyes! Well composed and presented!

I have never seen a katydid , we don't have them here in Ak. It's actually pretty cute and I like the way it is peeking out from over the top of the pink petal.
