More than simply the color green this looks very botanically spiritual! This looks like a squash or melon plant -- a very satisfying type of plant to photograph or draw!

I really like how the backlighting makes the veins of the leaves jump out to attention and highlights the tiny furs around the stems. The shape of the leaves and the stems are also very appealing.

Not only is the spiral perfect , but the image is perfect. The soft back lighting brings out the detail in the leaf. Pleasant even color. It looks like its floating in a pond. Perfect framing. Well done.

Ah. This has your signature written all over it. There is only one person who can render such an intriguing and artistic image such as this.
The patterns in the backlit leaves immediately capture the eye which then searches the surroundings softly landing on the 'Perfect Spiral'. The spiral is lit just enough to cause the viewer to examine it closely noting natures perfection in action.
The idea of both back lighting of the leaves and front illumination of the spiral causing the shadow is a wonderful combination (or so it seems to me).
A superb entry for the contest and one sure to set the standard against which all other entries will be compared. Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve
