How fortunate for you to get a picture of this beautiful bird, the colors are spectacular! It looks like it could glow in the dark. It is nicely off centered in your frame, and the foreground and background are both lovely and in no way distract from the subject. Thanks for sharing this eye catching bird, and for your very informative artists notes!

I like the way this beautiful bird is looking right at you! The off center placement of the bird in the frame makes a good composition. The light and colors are lovely. Very well done!

This amazing brilliant little bird must find hiding difficult. Too bad it is endangered, though this sad fact does not surprise me. This cardinal type certainly stands out on the gray succulent. That plant looks just like a bush that grows in Baja California, perhaps incorrectly, referred to as Chamiso. They were like huge tumbleweeds, which when they died and dried up, rolled around in the wind. A very informative photo! Thanks for sharing!

A very nice nature photo posted here! Your fine and classical composition gives us an enjoyable view of your Cardinal and it's location. They both look strange to me. Got to love that blazing orange on head and chest. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done!

Beautiful and colourful photograph of a Mauritius Cardinal perched in bush. Good lighting, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very nice wildlife Photograph, well done.

Another new bird I've never encountered. The focus is sharp. The bird is clearly defined, and the softened background serves well to make the subject stand out even better. Framing with the white flora also serves well to highlight the bird.

This is such a lovely colourful, vibrant image of this Mauritius Fody. A very nice setting you have presented in your image with this tiny bird perched on the this lovely bush. I really like the DOF and blurred mauve and green background which is a great contrast to the orange red. A beautiful clear and focused capture and the lighting is superb! A pleasure to view!
