This is such an interesting bird that I have rarely seen. I like how you got his unusual looking feet in the frame as well as the unique head. The colors look good and the eye stands out well.

This is a very interesting image with the swamp hen and her fresh catch, the swamp hen is well focused , the image is clear , I wish her eye was in the light and there are some spots of over exposure on her lifted leg and in the foreground grasses, when shooting living things, always focus on the eye. Overall this is well presented.

A pretty nice nature scene presented here! Your fine and classical composition captures an interesting moment. What exactly is a Yabbie? Like the colours and detail in your photo. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well taken!

Thanks so much :) A yabby is a small fresh water crustacean which is actually listed as vulnerable - mainly found in dams and wetland areas but because of the drought throughout Australia numbers are in decline.

Very nice photograph of a Western Swamphen at the Laratinga Wetland in in Mount Barker, Australia. Good lighting, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very nice Wildlife Photograph, well done.

Not sure what a yabby is even after looking it up. Looks like some king of crustacean. The bird is shown in sharp detail and beautiful colors. As for the yabby, I hope it tasted better than it looks.

pity the background is so busy and bright, the bird gets lost on it

also, the bright and almost over exposed plants on the bottom distract and pulls the viewer eyes from the main subject - the bird

thanks for sharing
