Two portraits for the price of one! A wonderful picture of this gentleman and his hawk, both with their heads turned, looking in the same direction. Very well focused, nicely composed and presented. Nice tight framing works well for this interesting pair. A great entry for the contest,I wish you all the best!

A very nice shot Susan and a worthy entry to the competition.
So, this was taken in a restaurant ? I sincerely hope that hawk wasn't on the menu. Nicely sharp and well composed.

This composition is a nice contrast in old and new as the young man has an electronics ear bud in his ear and the hawk is representative of old world falconers. The hawk is a beautiful bird and well cared for by the young man.

Perfect timing!
A rare find!
Very seldom to see somebody bringing a large bird!

It looks so tame with his diligent rearing...
Aptly captured for the contest theme...
Excellent choice of unique a subject.

Nicely lit showing natural colors.
Sharply focused.
Compact framing.

Best of luck in the contest!
Impressive entry. Potential voters choice...

Thanks for sharing...

nice capture of the man and it's bird, but the bright and almost over exposed area on the top of the photo distracts and takes form the initial impact

thanks for sharing

Quite a nice shot of a bemusing situation posted here! Why would you take a great big hawk into a restaurant? How did they get admittance? Composition, exposure and sharpness are good. Well taken!

What an incredible story! This is so interesting to see, this young man raised the Harris hawk from a hatchling , it's such a beautiful Harris hawk too,the man takes it with him to restaurants . This is well captured to show the young man and the hawk, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is good, well composed and presented!

I think that most "falconers" get their hawks from the nest. This bird is very good looking and contrasts well with the wild look of his owner.
