Wow, what a strange sight. So interesting and they look very creepy all grouped together. Very arachnidish! They do look like caterpillars with their worm like bodies full of tiny spikes. The orange faces are cool too.

Very interesting photo Sawfly larvae, never seen anything like this before, looks like something from another world. Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very beautiful Photograph, well done.

Thanks for your feedback. They are pretty high up was using full zoom and they looked like a black blob from ground.

This is something that I have not seen before, it's very interesting to see the way the larvae are standing up and away from the tree trunk, this is well captured with good focus, the image is clear, I see good detail on the larvae . Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!
