Those clouds are gorgeous!
I'm only happy when it rains ;-)
This short is well focused and well framed.
I enjoy the opening of the sky.
It almost looks like a dragon's eye.
Excellent work!

Quite an interesting and enjoyable image posted here! What is the blue hour!
Not a term used over here in the U.K.! Your nice image is well composed with good exposure and sharpness. Nicely done!

A beautiful view across the water. The light in the clouds is fantastic and the land forms look like a place where supernatural feats might be seen.

Pat,
A very beautiful picture Bottenintin lake with the misty mountains raising up from it's shoreline under the blue grey clouds struggling to rise up over the peaks while the golden rays of the sun are glowing from within & then reflected on the glistening water of the lake below. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Until I read your comments, I thought this was a painting! It is an exceptional photo with so many textures and shades of blue, punctuated by the sliver of sunlight. The scene looks like storm is brewing, but there's an ironic peacefulness about the vista.

It seems like the sort of a place where you might glimpse a ( supposedly extinct ) Steller's Sea Cow' or perhaps even a 'pod' of
long toothed Zeuglodons hunting in the cold, deep water! : D
It's an impressive and interesting picture,my friend!

Very Beautiful and colorful landscape photograph of the Bottenintnin lake, this is a definitely a "Cool Blue" scene . Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very beautiful landscape Photograph, well done Pat.

Hey Pat! This is a beautiful image you have captured and presented here! The depth and different shades of blue are really awesome. I like the little bit of yellow sky peeking through and reflecting off of the water. Beautiful image.

OMG! This photograph is simply beautiful. Beautiful colors captured by a camera. You lucky human being you. Perfect horizontal proportions of water, mountains and clouds. And that little spark of pink is magnificent. I just know you smelled the coming of winter in the air. Envy, envy, envy of your ability and living location. Give my best regards to your husband. Reasons for my six star vote. P.S. May I save this one in my favorites for a painting reference? I know I have saved quite a few of your pictures. And I hope I have my studio in place by January. The move to California has been arduous. Of course the earthquake did not help when my deck posts got impacted causing me repair and reinforcements.

You are welcome Pat. And I need to know if I can save this in favorites to use later as a reference for a painting? I never save or use a photograph without asking first. It is a form of personal respect I offer to the photographer.

Thank you Pat. My next series is starting to Coalesce in my mind. It may have the title "Alaska Revisited" or something like that.
