This is indeed a great looking pigeon with the colorful feathers on its back. The bird is posing for you in such a lovely way, and especially the eye is well captured. The bird is also standing out well from the nicely softened background.

The photo is Sharp showing such Clear and well defined details in the feathers, and the exposure is very good.

I also like the format you have cropped the photo into, and also the placement of the bird within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you Luck with the contest.

Wonderful initial impression: what a gorgeous pigeon , I love the colors! I see great detail on feathers , face and beak, beautiful clear view of the eye , well placed in the frame and he is standing out so well from the muted background. Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is perfect, colors and tones are natural. Well composed and presented!

I love the beautiful multi-color plumage of these pigeons. You have captured the iridescent sheen on the yellow, blue, and lavender feathers. The gray head is so pleasing against the colorful body.
