Hi Daphne,
I took this photo in Maryland, U.S. while visiting my sister. She and her husband to me to a Lotus Park because they knew I love to take pictures. There were dozens of varieties of Lotus in the park. There were various colors and sizes. The pink ones caught my eye and I was fortunate to get close enough to photograph this one. Lotus grow in mud and I simply could not get to the many beautiful blossoms. This one was near the trail so I got a good shot of it. It was a beautiful blossom as you can see. I very much appreciate you review and Grand rating Daphne ~ Steve

A very beautiful picture of this pink Lotus blossom with the sun's rays glowing through it's petals giving the impression the light is within the flower. The green Lily pads framing it's beautifully. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A perfect example of less is more. Too many here over saturate and over use filters sometimes using the same filter over and over making cookie cutter abstracts with same design. There is no need to saturate colors when one uses light and Camera or in this case Cell techs correctly.
The use of light on the pink petals is flattering and your focus is sharp with nice white Balance control on all colors.

Thank you very much. This was taken outside of Washington D.C. at a big Lotus garden park that had acres of different kinds of Lotuses growing in swamp like conditions.

This flower has very attractive colors. Such gorgeous shades of pink. The lighting is flattering and brings out the patterns in the petals nicely. I especially like the sharp detail you captured and the well defined edges of the petals. Very nice work!

What a magnificent Pink Lotus presented here with lighter shades of pink as required.
Beautifully sunlit showing the delicate details of the perfect petals so clearly. Nice greenery surrounding which allows for the pink colour to 'pop'. Beautiful composition and a pleasure to view!
