Hey Eileen! This is a great photograph that you have captured here. I really like its position and that you have framed it off center which allows some good contrast with the greenery in the background. The details and coloring on the feathers stand out well and are well presented. Good luck Eileen this was a pleasure to view!

an excellent close Eileen up of this snake bird taken from an unusual angle; outstanding sharp focus and details in the feathers; excellent control of exposure for the black and white "colors."

A nice shot, nicely arranged within the frame and that out of focus background makes the bird stand out nicely.
To me he looks almost metallic, don't know if that's the filter you used or if he's just been really sharpened. An excellent shot though.

lovely bird and don't think i know this species. it's really dynamic with a vital plumage. the reflective quality is mighty fine and with a really nice angle indeed.

First thought was its a pity you cropped the bird, but then looking at it more closely I think it still works as a good wildlife shot, and although its dark it still shows enough detail, good capture...Brian

Excellent shot and perfect portrait presentation - I love the unusual perspective with half open wings if he would just dry them after a bath as birds do in Paraguay
super sharp, excellent DOF with the blurred macro BG the bird stands out perfectly into details - contrast and lighting is perfect and the sun gives you a nice additional light influx
Your picture is well framed and for sure has a strong initial impact as the bird is special by itself and the silver effect add on to the general impression , well seen, well reacted well done

This is fantastic! The detail in the wings really grabs the eye. The close up is so sharp, enhanced by the highly blurred background! I am mesmerized by this bird!! Nice work.

Oh that is a striking, almost unbelievable shot of this heavy bird rising up in flight. He looks like he or she has polished chrome wing feathers. My sincere admiration! Daphne Oberon

This is a really nice picture that you captured! This picture is in great focus, and I can see all the small details in the wings. The color tone is also really nice. Thanks for sharing.
