Nice photograph of an American wigeon, she does look a little shy. Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, great feather detail, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very Beautiful Wildlife Photograph, well done Pat!

Yes, she may have been or perhaps she was just trying to find the best angle for the photo? Your nice nature shot is well composed, sharp with good exposure. Nicely taken!

I love when they twist and pose their heads in such a unique way when we are ready to take their photo. I sometimes wait hours on end for the bath and wing flapping. Great timing, sharp focus, good exposure and fine feather details.
I like that your work is clean without using filters like Some to hide the mistakes which in my opinion highlights them more. The find fur and feather filter I loathe when used.
Great work taken with fine camera techs Pat.

So sweet! Her markings and color remind of the female mallard. The pose is adorable and the lighting flatters her colors nicely. I like how you caught her with her tail feathers fanned out.

Pat,
A beautiful picture of this lady Widgeon head twisted back on her shoulders to get a better look at you. The sunlight highlighting her beautifully patterned plumage while her shadow is see on the water beneath her it's outline broken by the ripples on the surface, that's also reflecting the pale sky above.

The bird is charming. Her pose is intriguing. The photo is perfect focused and exposed. The plumage is sharply refined. The smaller single feather show exquisite detail. Colors and light are realistic. The reflections are interesting. The bird is well placed into the frame left of center. The photo is well composed, balanced and framed.
