Another magnificent scene. I love the cold, sombre colour and feel to this. The orange strip makes this also quite alive. A dichotomy. Beautiful sky, snowy mountains, reflection in the water and thin ice...all so stunning.
This is worthy of 6*'s but I haven't any left.
A pleasure to view!

this is almost like a geometrical calculation sum, where we have to work out the angle of the mountains etc It is beautiful, even though it is a natural view, that line of sand through the middle just about makes it, along with the gorgeous reflections in the water. Another postcard view,

A very nice looking scene. I like the light in the clouds and the ice in the foreground. A well composed image with a beautiful color palette.

Very nice landscape photograph with reflections of the mountains on the lake, Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, nice detail, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a nice landscape Photograph, well done Pat!

Pat,
A very beautiful picture of the snow capped mountains rising up from the pond's banks & the leafless trees growing there. The trees, the carpet of leaves under them , the mountains & the sky are all reflected. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

To summarize, you nailed it in this photo. Your time of year, the time of day, and the cloudy skies all contributed to the beauty of this scene. White balance, lighting, colors, composition and perspective all work very well together.

Pond? Looks like a big lake to me in your fine and classical composition! Wonder what creates that orange strip? Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

Thank you so much! That orange is the autumn grasses and plants along the outer bank of this pond.

The ice looks great and reflects the details of the mountaintops nicely. The orange foliage gives the landscape an attractive painted affect and it underscores the trees well.

Ooh I like this very much. The autumn looks over and now the cold is starting. Very lovely landscape composition. Your positioning is good and interesting. I like the diminishing perspective... the reflections... the mountains with such clarity and then the beautiful sky with accumulative clouds in various shades. I like the use of light with this. Excellent focus too.
