Len,
A great stop action picture of this Greylag Goose shaking the water out of the feathers on it's head & neck. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. The Romans used these as we might have a guard dog as they create a racket when strangers approach. As a child one of these was the centre of our Christmas Dinner.

No by the Time Christmas came around the poor Goose was well stuffed with sage & onions & it's soul was flying around Bird Heaven.

Thanks Envision. I saw this goose having a wash (?) and just had time to lug that lens onto target.

This is an excellent stop-in action. I see the water drops on the gooses and flying from its beak. The photo has good depth. It is perfectly focused and exposed. The colors are realistic. The bird is pleasantly placed into the frame. The composition is balanced.

Fine stop action of this bathing Greylag Goose.
Focus, exposure, clarity, timing and correct shutter speed caught this action well. I especially like the spray of water drops in front of its bill.

This is a wonderful shot of the goose in water. great clarity and I particularly like the water droplets bouncing off its back! You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good luck!
