the bird says.. "oh honey its the latest style!" lol.. the angle of the shot of this birds facial is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

I like the spiked feather do on this head of this heron. That piercing stare gives it the look of annoyance. I like the way the breeze has caused the wispy head feathers to wrap around its neck.

I like the framing of your composition with just enough negative space in the direction the heron is facing. Focus is nice and sharp and the bird's details are well defined. Your subject also stands out well against the muted background. Excellent camera techniques.

Thanks for making me laugh this morning as this portrait is just handsome in all meanings - could write a book about the thought of this bird - you really took him in a special mood and these face feather are just hitting the nail in this picture
super close up - clear and sharp - excellent genuine contrast and lighting - the macro blurred background in dark green is just perfect for this white face.
