Frozen and thawing strands of webs

I know this is a close-up, and it's nice to see the full web pattern, but I can't help but think that a macro shot would look even better. Seeing those tiny beads of ice even closer would be interesting. Still, it is a very nice shot as-is.

Is this the total web? Very nice perspective, and good framing. Spider webs are fun to shoot, and you did a wonderful job of capturing the Spider's art work

It was just strands between a couple of reeds. I would liked to have seen a total web covered in frost :) Thank you for your nice comments!

Hi Envision, That is one beautiful way to capture those silken threads! The frosted threads are beautiful to the eye. You did a great job of nailing the focus. The lighting is just right. Your spider threads look like a beautiful silver chain. Very Nicely Done! :o) Nancy

You are very right and the way you have chosen to place this natural structure in your frame is excellent
the hyper macro camera settings do not even give us a clue what the background consists in but it has the perfect color blend to let the water pearls stand out so well and bring the perfect calm into the scene
a really good composed picture with perfect framing , super sharpness and excellent contrast and lighting
well seen as that is tiny and well done

Nicely found Envision. It's often the little details in nature that make the most interesting shots. It's pin sharp and the droplets make an interesting subject. I might have used a flash close to to make the background darker and enhance the droplets but as it stands ... nicely done.

Lovely jeweled effect with these beads of frost on spider webs. Nature's simple beauty. Great lighting and clarity. Lovely blurred background to allow the details to shine. A pleasure to view!

Isn't it amazing how delicate nature can be in its' creations? So delicate and yet it exudes a certain strength of purpose. Great placement of everything in the frame, from the angle of the dried grass to the entrance into the scene of the web from the right and then fanning out to the artistic pattern. Great eye for seeing this one Grace and kudos on your skills for capturing and presenting this scene ~ Steve

Very pretty capture with a nice complimenting neutral background. Crisp focus. It's amazing how strong those web strands are,I've often come across them in the winter while wandering through the woods. Nicely presented!
