I love Fuchsias, always had some in all my homes, except this one. We have had rain for weeks, the weather stations say the wettest autumn in many years, so I presume you too will have had more rain than usual.

Here we go again Susan with your special sphere compositions - this one is really beautiful with a great initial impact - these flowers are so clear and sharp and through thee glass ball they even look sharper and closer and just shine out
super sharpness , contrast and lighting are excellent - the green background is perfect as it brings perfect calm into that shot and make the flowers stand out so well- it looks like life in a water drop , well composed , well presented , well done, just beautiful

Love what you've done here, Susan, to create this beautiful image of your hardy Fuchsia, backlit by the sun. The globe really sets it off well. Excellent lighting and focus showing great detail. Lovely composition. Suzanne

A beautiful blossom that seems to grow on a medium sized bush. I wonder if they will grow in Michigan. I have bought fuchsias for the hummingbirds (they strongly prefer Gartenmeister). Anyway this is an eye catching image with beautiful colors.

    Mike,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on these Fuchsia Blossoms. It's Fuchsia magellancia a hardy species that left unpruned can grow to a height of 8+ feet tall. In the severe winters of 2010 & 2013 it appeared to have been killed. We cut it down to about one foot in preparation to digging it up.. then the weather got a little warmer & we saw shoots appearing within six months it was back to six feet. It grows wild in the south west of Ireland often seen in the roadside hedgerows.

This globe was perfect to show off these hanging Fuchsia. They have a delicate look inside the globe.
Fine colors, clarity and framing.
Nice work Susan ;)

How the light illuminates the flowers and leaves is interesting. The light spots on the opening buds are especial interesting. The plant is well focused. The photo has good exposure. The colors are realistic. The circle effect gives the arrangement the appearance of a hanging glass bubble. The mixed media is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

A nice shot Susan. The flowers are lovely, sharp and with rich natural colours. The backlighting is perfectly done and adds dimension to the image. Personally I would have left it there as I'm afraid I'm not a great fan of your globe effect and that lovely out of focus background is a little bit diminished.

Quite a beautiful close up photograph of a flower. Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, nice detail, nice soft bokeh, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very Beautiful Photograph, well done Susan!

This is very nice Susan. It reminds me of a Christmas ornament since the globe looks so much like glass. I like the way the light falls across the flowers too.
