It is such lovely hues of pink in these Flowers, and I like the idea of picturing them from behind. I also like that it is so many buds included, and how well the plant is standing out from the nicely softened background.
The photo is very Sharp and it is Clear and well defined details to be seen both in the buds and the blooms, and the exposure is Perfect.
I like the format you have cropped the photo into and also the placement of the plant a bit off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Allan, and With an excellent DOF. I wish you Luck With the contest.

Your perspective and placement in the frame make this capture more interesting than the usual floral composition. Your focus is sharp showing clear and well defined details throughout the bloom. Colors are vivid and natural, The softened background adds depth and more definition. Excellent camera techniques.

I like the unusual POV. The view of the back of the open flowers is intriguing. The shades of pink and almost black at the petals and the complimentary greens of the leavers are impressive. The Hollyhocks are well focused, showing sharp refined details.
