excellent focus and details on the cactus flower, but the busy and not blur enough background distracts and pulls the viewer eyes to it

This is a wonderful shot of the flower. A bit of tight framing of the flower would have had more impact! Light and sharpness are very effective in creating a lovely capture. Good luck!
