The bald eagle is such a huge favorite subject! I have seen one sit for hours up high in a tree just overlooking a river.i really like the way he is looking back over his shoulder. Love the background in the beautiful autumn colors! Well composed and presented!

Thank you! I have watched these guys sit for ling periods of time too -especially when I am waiting to catch them in flight, lol!

They always have a Stern look and I always hear in my head Eagle eye when I see them.
That rich fall burgundy mixed with green looks like a painting in the background.

I agree! Those Fall colors in the background really add to the beauty of the shot. He looks like he is looking back at you, annoyed that you interrupted him! Overall, the shot has beautiful, deep, rich colors and I like it a lot.
