Steve,
A beautiful moody looking scene of Midway Geyser at Yellow Stone with the steam rising around the twisted remains of the bush/tree in the centre, I can smell the sulphur in the back of my nose. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Wow this has a look like after Armageddon - all life is gone.
Stunning composition with a really strong visual impact creating thoughts that we might pass such a global event
your original shot is excellent, well framed - taken from a perfect view point and distance
this poor tree is clear and sharp in details and the image has the perfect contrast and lighting
your filter applications are splendid as you create these background effects that really look out of this world - a great composition - well worked out - impressive

Yes,Yellowstone does frequently present us with unworldly sights, like yours here. I was over there about 5 years ago. Like the contrast between the dark and foreboding trees stump and the sulphurous colours behind it. Well taken!

Dramatic capture of these dead clump trunks looking like remnants from a holocaust!
(Or any proper term for it?)
Vanishing viewpoint lends a greater depth...
Vivid "sculptural" image against a misty steamy backdrop.
Visually appealing.
Thanks for sharing...

Before I even saw your name on it my first reaction was "ooh, I like this!". That sky makes it look like an other-worldly landscape. And the remnants of the tree appear alien as well. Very cool (or hot?) shot!

Thanks a lot Dave. I does remind me of some of your images. I Very Much appreciate your review and Great rating. I tried to come up with a poem but it was just too hard to think creatively at the time. I will try to come up with something before the time runs out. Thanks again my friend ~ Steve

Wow BFF! I had to blow this one up! It is spectacular. The colors alone dance across my screen. And with those colors comes a vision of beauty. May be moody but damn it's nice! Well done BFF!

I think you did a nice job giving this image a moody and dramatic appearance. Aside form the colors, I like how the background looks through the steam in the foreground and the twisted shapes of the bark look great.
