Rick this is excellent work. You have created so much detail that we can visually feel his emotions. Excellent job. The shading and framing are top-notch. I wish you the very best in the contest. This is fantastic work.

Wow and you certainly have captured this little boys deepest sorrow. I can "feel" his sadness. Your work here is amazing. I want to reach into the image and hug him. I want to tell him everything is going to be alright. I want to protect him and love him. yes you have drawn me into this a masterful piece of work. Very well accomplished. You have my vote!

Wow you really composed a perfect contest entry as this young guy does not only seem to be concerned but also already well experienced in human behavior in such young age
this ace expression is stunning, in addition you mastered it perfectly to have him 3/4 standing is the shadow
excellent detail work on skin with perfect natural shades - the entire face is well worked out resulting in a very strong visual impact - well done and all the best for the contest

"I see that worried look upon your face; You've got your troubles, I've got mine". A very fine drawing that captures the essence of worry in a beautiful way. The composition is excellent and the eyes are fantastic.

Very expressive, and that you feel the concern emotion in this young boy's life. It is excellently well rendered, technically excellent but most of all very emotional. The eyes are the gateway to the soul. It seems like he could start crying with in a second. Keep up the great work

Rick,
A beautiful very skillfully drawn portrait of this young boy with a look of concern written all over his face. Created by your artist's eye for composition very skilful draftsmanship & shading & the gift to be able to convey on your canvas what your eye sees.

Very nice job in creating a mood! I can see his concern from his solemn facial expression, furled brow, eyes starring deeply at the viewer, heavy wrinkles under the eyes, and the dark shadow on the right side. I can really feel his emotion!

Awe, what a precious little boy, it looks like he has blonde hair which you show very well . His expression is one of concern or worry, his face is well created with appropriate shape and structure for a child about 4 or 5, his features are proportionate to his face and your creation of his eyes brings him to life . I love children and it's sad to see this troubled expression on his face! Very well created and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

This is an impressive portrait. You captured the emotions of the child. The child seems still small. It looks indeed concerned, not but also interested in what is going on. The portrait looks life-like. It is skilfully drawn. Proportions and perspective are flawless. The shading is perfect. Although, the composition is balanced, I personally would like his entire face inside the frame.
