I like how this guy appears to have his head feathers puffed up as he looks for seeds. His eye and mask stand out nicely and it's fun to see the grip he has on the feeder.

We have the Tufted Titmouse here in Tennessee. They truly are a 'Snatch and grab' bird. I love how they take one sunflower seed at a time, fly to their favorite perch, peck on it to get the kernel inside and then repeat the process.
Clear focus on the bird with the feeder giving a nice sense of perspective. Nice image here Susan ~ Steve

Excellent shot through glass Susan. You have it mastered! This has wonderful clarity, not many can achieve this through glass and you have done it perfectly. I would personally crop it a bit but it is perfectly fine as is. Excellent job.

Lovely photo of this cute little bird sticking it's head between the bars of the feeder! Lovely light and color. Good exposure. Nice catch light in the eye.

Nicely taken shot, the background could have more blur, but, if you haven't got a lens that will do it, it's easy to criticise. I might be tempted to crop the picture in half, as it is it seems that the feeder may well be the subject. Nicely taken though and I'm sure an exercise in patience.

Len,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this snatch & grab Blue Tit grabbing a Sunflower seed. This was just one of six shots I took to get one with the whole bird in the frame, it happens in the space of just seconds. All I could do was focus on the feeder & wait for the Tit to fly into view & hope when I clicked I had the Tit in frame.

I know exactly what you mean having tried the same thing myself.

A cute & candid capture!!
Subject managed to stand out despite being overpowered by the large cage.
Verdant overtone!
Nice color contrast....
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Thanks for sharing...

Cute how the bird looks through the wires searching for food. I guess the Blue Tit flew into the bushes to eat its seeds in safety. The photo is well exposed and focused. It has good depth. The colors are realistic The bird and feeder are well placed into the frame. The composition is balanced.

I am always amazed at the images you can get shooting through glass. In winter I try it every now and then but always end up deleting them all. A very nice shot even if your beautiful feeder seems to outshine your bird.

Mike,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this little Blue Tit. The only way to capture the Blue Tit is to fix on the feeder then click when the Tit comes into the frame...I took about six shots before I was able to get this one some with half a bird & others with nothing except maybe a wing tip. When the Fuchsia looses it's leaves I can sometimes get one without the feeder.

You did a wonderful job capturing this little bird. Im sure you probably had you hands frozen locked on the feeder to get this. The picture is very clear with just enough background blur.
