Bless her heart. She looks like her back is hurting her too. The surrounding of the path is full of textures. She reminds me of my mom. She will have gone to heaven 14 years on Nov. 28th. Tomorrow my time. This photo could have such a story to it. Thank you for sharing.

At first I thought another older person with a cane walking down a path. But the more I looked at it the more I saw it wasn't just about the elderly lady but there was a connection between the figure and her surroundings. The pattern on her dress is very subtle accent to the IV growing up the wall to her right. The blueness and her dress draws you in into the shadow in the Forefront moving into the middle ground and then does the glimpse of light around the bend. The angular shape of her left arm is beautifully cropped compositionally to The Angler shape directly to her left.

apparently she wanted to wear the colors of the Greek flag for you; lol;
a very good framing and composition with the winding path where the lady will soon disappear;

What a wonderful scene Annie. This is such a study in Life and where we will all be if we live long enough.

When I see an old woman or man I always think about the fact that there were once young and lively with hopes and dreams that the young always have. Ah the stories she could tell, the wisdom she has acquired. 'Wisdom cannot be taught. It can only be learned.'

A wonderful photo with such story telling power. Well done Annie ~ Steve

Loll, it is funny - as I expected a big lady like seen at the front page and opening it she is tall - I feel for her having pain to would and you got the perfect story telling picture , no words need
I love the perspective just front of a corner and it seem she has quiet a way to walk
perfect sharpness , contrast and lighting as genuine and natural
A perfect composition with the perfect framing and use of space - A perfect shot for journalism showing how life in Greece still is close to nature , well done

Annie,
A beautiful picture of this venerable lady leaning on her stick her left hand trying to ease the ache in her back possibly caused by pain down her leg due to pressure on her sciatic nerve. Her blue dress tells me she wants to look her best & brighten up her appearance rather than the usual black. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Wow. This is a truly heart-grabbing image. You have not only captured an exceptional image but the feelings and emotions as well. At least for me you did! I really wish I had a 6 star, this definitely deserves it. Amazing work!

Yes you are right about the black dress,although to be fair annie the ladys don,t like their photo taken as such,have tried a couple of times but to no avail,still this does convey a sense of Greece...Brian
