Wow and I was just considering whether to try out Selective Color - haven't done any before but this one really inspires me. Awesome shot the monarch really jumps out of frame with clarity and detail.

Many thanks for the great review and that wonderful extra star! You should definitely try doing some selective color;I especially love doing monarchs because of their orange color bordered by black!

A very beautiful picture of this Monarch butterfly picked out in your photo using selective colours leaving the background in black and white. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera & Editing techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

This turned out nicely. Black and white always brings out nice textures and the flowers that the butterfly has landed on are full of lovely texture that stands out so well with the grey tones. The color of the monarch look great.

Thank you so much!

Very striking, it has a wizard of Oz nod. The contrast to royality symbolized with its own image the one in color works nicely in contrast to the grey bsckground.

A very good entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and almost central composition grants us a good view of your lovely butterfly and its location. Did a good job adding the colour. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!
