Great title for a great image. This certainly does look like one angry bird who appears none too pleased that he missed out on a potential meal.

The focus is sharp with good detail. The colors are well rendered and the cropping is very effective in accenting this bird. Love that eye which speaks volumes. Well done ~ Steve

Great close up portrait of this heron! I like the open mouth pose. Excellent sharpness and perfect focus on the eye. The soft colorful background is lovely.

What a great close up of this angry grey heron. Hope he had the chance of capturing another fish. *smile*
Your image is clear and well focused; the lighting gives a good view of the details of his profile.
A pleasure to view Fred (finally worked out your name :-) )

Ha Ha! Priceless! Well it could be worse. Just don't piss off any Jungle cats lol!
God did not equip this animal with focus either haha. Great focus and framing as usual. The blurred background leaves a lot to our imagination. Well done!

With a bill like that I would definitely avoid making him angry! Nice crisp portrait of this unhappy heron who looks like they are complaining about it's missed meal. Excellent eye clarity and details in the plumage,a very beautiful image!

The Grey Heron does look like he's a little mad at you. Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, nice detail, nice soft bokeh, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very Beautiful Wildlife Photograph, well done!

WOW! Impressive clarity of the details. Great angle showing the facial expression. I think, the negative space from the top can still be decrease. Overall, this is really a nice focus.

You can see its expressive disposition, and the downward angle of the beak gives it a more sinister demeanor. The overcast weather provides an interesting effect on the angry heron, making it look more imposing and almost cinematic effect, like how in the old movies the bad guy had more shadow to his face to amplify his dark intentions.
