Well, I think you were better off without the hummingbird, because this is a great shot. Your sharp focus and the excellent lighting really bring out the colors in this Monarch. Many photos of Monarchs show faded colors, but these are perfect. Well done!

A great capture of this Monarch and a great entry for the contest. The pose id just right for showing the details of the wings. The colors are nicely rendered and the focus is sharp and clear on the left wings.

The greens of the leaves accent the oranges of the wings. A great entry for the contest and I wish you all the best in the contest ~ Steve

This is a beautiful image, the monarch is standing out so well ! Well placed in the frame, I see good detail over every art of the butterfly.
