This drawing has a special surreal kind of humor. The octopus seems indeed to claim the woman, but also looks like a bathing suit. The colors are attractive and intriguing. The drawing is well composed. The square framing is adequate.

A very fine idea and a great rendering of it. I like the perspective and the great color palette. It takes a couple of glances to see the octopus but once you do it really stands out well. Best of luck in the contest.

Great use of your imagination, very clever concept, well executed to show this woman with the very round backside standing n the water with an octopus wrapped around her as if to claim her for his own, well detailed drawing with good choice of colors , very well applied, the green water background is perfect to establish where this is happening! Well arranged and presented!

Cool!
It reminds me of an Exotic Dancer I knew several years ago who had a very detailed Octopus ( And a Dragon! ) engaged in combat tattooed across her body!
( I think she scared a few people but I liked her a lot! She was really Cool! So is your drawing,Raoul! : ) )

A very unique idea. Looks a bit weird, but your creativity and artistic liberty shows! The colours are in sync with each other and the light and balance have come out well. Good luck!

Haha! Raoul! This is clever and fun. I like your title very much. ;)
The octopus forms a bathing suit wrapped around her body claiming her as it's own. We just went to an art exhibit yesterday showing Fredrico Uribe's work. He uses colored pencils to draw his art as well as create 3D figures or animals coming out of them.
He has one of a torso and legs coming out of the painting. He calls it Splash. This reminded me of his and your humor.
Fine work ;)

This had quite an initial impact on first viewing which for me relates to your colour pallet. The mix and shadowing work well. I am not sure whether you mean "all mine" because it's your artwork or whether it relates to what could be a woman's form. I see an arm, a strand of hair perhaps and a bag on a hip. I would like to see more in your notes.. Your ideas developing this. Overall a contemporary abstract piece that does attract and encourages speculation.

Hi brenda. Thanks for pointing out that the image mightn't be clear. I have added more notes as requested and here they are especially for you. Hope you can see it now :). The woman's backside looks impossibly large due to the refraction in the water :) That's my excuse anyway! Happy Sunday. R

PS: This is a sketch of an octopus wrapped around a woman's back and backside as though claiming it for its own hence the humorous title 'All Mine!'. The woman is standing in water hence the green background.

That is an hilarious response. I love it well done. Will up rating if I can. Ps there is an octopus appreciation site on Facebook I am a member. They would live to see this with your story.
